Once upon a time, in the village. There was a young man named
Patrick. He was a very handsome and good man, but he was poor. One day, he
worked on the farm. He had one young buffalo. He took care of the buffalo until
it got bigger. Two years later, the buffalo became bigger and it had golden
horns.
In the forest, Patrick searched grass for his buffalo. He met
with a beautiful lady. They introduced their names. Patrick fell in love with
her. Her name was Marti.
Every day Patrick thought about Marti. He wanted to propose her.
Patrick went to Marti’s house and he met with Marti’s Father. He kicked Patrick
out. He said, “Go away from my house, and if you want to marry my daughter give
me one thousand pieces of gold.”
He was very sad, because he didn’t have one thousand pieces of
gold. He didn’t know how to get one thousand pieces of gold. He thought again
and again about it. And he knew what he could do to get one thousand pieces of
gold, sold his buffalo.
He went to the market. He sold his buffalo, but the buffalo just
priced six hundred pieces of gold. He was confused because he did not have enough
gold to propose Marti. And he went home.
On the way, he found a bag and opened it. He saw much gold in
it. He was afraid because the bag was not his own. And he found a piece of
paper in it. It said that the bag was Jafran’s bag and he knew Jafran was an
old man who lived in the city near the kingdom.
Patrick went to Jafran’s house, he wanted to return the bag. He
met Jafran. Patrick returned his bag. Jafran was very happy and he said,“Thank
you good man, you returned my bag. I will give you four hundred pieces of gold
and give you a job for the prize.”
After he got six hundred pieces of gold from selling his buffalo,
and four hundred pieces of gold from the prize, he proposed Marti and they lived
happily ever after.
